Wylam First School is a Heritage School and works alongside Heritage England to implement a Humanities curriculum that is steeped in local heritage. We have undertaken a range of projects with the local community to celebrate Wylam's historic past, undertaking cross generational projects, which incorporated film making, photography and drama.
Celebrating Points Bridge was one such project which brought together engineering, film making and the creative arts to recreate Wylam's past. This was a cross generational, community project which is now embedded into our Humanities curriculum.
